Origin of Kanakadhara Stotram
- Composed by Adi Shankara at a young age
- He recited 21 powerful verses to Goddess Lakshmi for a poor Brahmin lady
- As a result, Goddess Lakshmi showered her with Kanakadhara – a stream of golden amla fruits (nellikkai) from the sky
